Once you create a Jeton account in the app, you will be asked to verify it before you can start using your account. This step is required for legal and security reasons. It helps protect your identity and ensures that your account stays safe.
Verifying your account is simple and only takes a few minutes if your documents are ready. Below, you will find everything you need to know about the process, including what to do if your application gets rejected.
Why You Need to Verify Your Jeton Account
Verification is a required part of using Jeton. It confirms your identity and allows you to access all available features. Without verification, your account stays limited.
Once your account is verified, you can:
- Send and receive money
- Take part in cashback and other reward programmes
- Use your account freely without restrictions
Documents You Will Need
To complete the verification process, you will be asked to upload the following:
- A valid photo ID such as a passport, residency card or driver’s licence
- A utility bill that shows your name and address
- A bank statement that also includes your name and address
In some cases, Jeton may request additional information if something is missing or unclear. If that happens, you will be contacted directly.
How to Verify Your Account
- Open the Jeton app
- Tap your profile or go to the settings section
- Select Verification
- Upload the requested documents
- Submit and wait for confirmation
You will receive a notification once your account has been reviewed and approved. Most verifications are processed fairly quickly.
Tips for a Smooth Verification
Here are some helpful tips to make sure your verification goes through without issues:
Check that your ID is valid
Only use documents that are currently valid. Expired passports or licences will be rejected.
Use clear and readable images
Upload high quality scans or photos. Avoid blurry or low resolution files. All details must be easy to read.
Avoid glare or shadows
If you are taking photos, use natural lighting. Make sure there are no reflections or shadows blocking any part of the document.
Do not crop your documents
Upload the full document with all four corners visible. Do not cover or blur any parts.
Make sure your details match
Your name and address must match exactly across your Jeton profile, ID, utility bill and bank statement. If there are any differences, update your profile before submitting.
Use recent utility bills and bank statements
Documents should be no older than three months. They must clearly show your full name and current address.
Avoid screenshots
Do not upload screenshots or photos of screens. Always submit direct scans or clear photos of the original physical documents.
Review everything before submitting
Take a moment to double check that your documents are correct and easy to read. This helps avoid delays and saves time.
What If Your Verification Is Rejected
If your verification is not approved, do not worry. It is usually due to one of the following reasons:
- The document is unclear or unreadable
- The file is missing information
- The document is expired
- The details do not match your Jeton profile
How Long Does It Take?
Verification usually takes up to 24 hours, but in many cases, it can be completed in as little as one hour. As long as your documents are clear, valid, and match your profile details, the process tends to move quickly. You’ll get a notification in the app as soon as it’s done
